New Pattern for Bihar Board Exams


The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Monday has announced a new pattern for both matriculation (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) examinations.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Monday has announced a new pattern for both matriculation (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) examinations. The new examination pattern will be followed from the next year.

As per The Indian Express report, the board is all set to introduce 50 per cent objective questions in all papers.

New exam pattern for class 10 and class 12

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said: "We have decided to change the examination pattern for Classes 10 and 12 from 2018. All theory papers will have 50 per cent objective marks. There will also be short questions of two marks each."

"We are changing the examination pattern with two targets - to improve pass percentage and ensure meritorious students getting high percentage can compete with students of other boards," Kishor added.

Class 10 and Class 12 Time Table

The Board has released the time table for class 10 and class 12 on October 24. The class 12 exam will begin from February 6 to February 16, 2018, while class 10 exams will take place on February 21 and will continue till February 28.
